Chauncey L. Wilson Sr.
Chauncey Lamont Wilson Sr., 32, of 407 1/2 Oak S t r e e t , G a f f n e y, passed Monday morning, April 16, 2007, at 5:15 A.M. at 105 Chandler Drive, Gaffney.
Son of Mr. Robert Lee Wilson of Gaffney and Mrs. Maggie Smith Wilson of Spartanburg, he was a native of Cherokee County, South Carolina. He was a member of Albert Chapel United Methodist Church of Blacksburg. He was an employee of Musgrove Mill.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Chauncey Lamont Wilson, Jr. of the home; his step-daughter, Ms. Shay Mitchem of Gaffney; his brother, Sherrod Lee Wilson of Spartanburg; three sisters, Ms. Andrea Kiara Wilson of the home, Ms. Anitra Goudelock of Anderson, South Carolina, Ms. Evette Thompson of Blacksburg, South Carolina; his stepmother, Mrs. Claudia Wilson; his grandparents, Mrs. Gladus McCluney of Washington, D.C., Robert Jones and Mrs. Marie Jones, both of Forest City, North Carolina and Monroe Smith of Gaffney.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, 2 p.m. April 21, at Dunton United Methodist Church with Rev. John W. Evans, Rev. Edward Sarratt, Rev. Lee Byers officiating.
Burial will follow in Frederick Memorial Garden of Gaffney.
His remains will lie instate until the hour of the service.
A wake will be held on Friday.
The family is at the home of his father, Robert Lee Wilson at 106 Villa Drive, Gaffney and Mrs. Maggie Smith Wilson at 332 Lacey Leaf Court, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
