Says taxpayers should be in uproar over Greene situation

Dear Editor:

Here we go again.

Can you believe the "Good Ole Boy" or should I say "Good Ole Girl" politics over the Joel Greene incident?

Here is a man (and the word man is used loosely) who has not only lied on his application, but has a personal babysitter because of his incompetence.

If that is not enough he is caught redhanded hanging out at home while on the clock. And who is paying for all of these shenanigans?

That's right, the taxpayers of Cherokee County.

What's even more unbelievable is the fact that after being caught, he spins everything around, claims harassment and yes, gets his job back (makes one wonder who gave him the harassment ammunition).

The district office doesn't seem to have any problem terminating other maintenance employees (without just cause, I might add). I can't help but question what it is that Mrs. Greene has on so many people.

Taxpayers (especially those employed by this district) should be in an uproar. As long as we allow these types of decisions to continue without speaking out, well, who knows what our tax dollars will be spent on?

Thank you to those few on the school board who have the integrity and the courage to stand up for what is right. Hang in there. We need someone to keep a check on things.

Mike Bridges
