Two face drug charges
Two Gaffney people were arrested on drug charges this weekend, according to reports at the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
Cherokee County Metro Narcotic Agent Christy Poole has charged Joe Earl Johnson, 56, of 119 Ramsey St., Gaffney, with possession with intent to distribute lorazepam, possession of alprazolam, possession of ice (methamphetamine), and possession of marijuana.
Narcotics agents executed a search warrant at Johnson's home at 2 p.m. Friday and found several pills and less than an ounce each of marijuana and ice, the report states. Police seized $7,060 in cash.
Poole has also charged Isaiah Steven Clyburn, 18, of 208 2nd Ave., Gaffney, with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Clyburn was stopped on Gertrude Street at 7:50 p.m. Saturday by narcotics officers who seized 1.4 grams of crack cocaine from him, a separate report states.
