Shame on the FCC for allowing this to happen Dear Editor: As a longtime listener of WAGI, I was disappointed Saturday evening to hear Spanish music and no station identification coming out of my radio on 105.3 FM. The sale of the station has obviously brought a drastic change to the station format, not to mention the local flavor of WAGI. While I'm not a Gaffney resident, it was nice to be able to turn on one FM station and hear local news and information in the Upstate area. Gaffney will certainly miss her radio station. Shame on the FCC for allowing this to take place. Radio is a public service and with English as our national language, English needs to be broadcast. Sincerely, Scott Taylor Spartanburg, SC |
