Miss Tyler is bride of Brian J. Prahl
MRS. BRIAN JONATHAN PRAHL (LAUREN REBECCA TYLER) COLUMBIA - Lauren Rebecca Tyler and Brian Jonathan Prahl, both of Columbia, exchanged wedding vows in a candlelight ceremony on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Washington Street United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dr. Paul Harmon officiated the 5 p.m. double ring ceremony.
Music was provided by Janet Marks, organist, and Jennifer Kellahan, vocalist.
The church was beautifully decorated with brass candelabra, palms and arrangements of white hydrangea, snapdragons, mums, genestra, ruscus and myrtle. Brass pew markers were used throughout the sanctuary, and the pews were adorned with white bows and blue and white hydrangea. The entrance to the church was enhanced with white bows and pedestals with ferns.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents. For her wedding, she chose a princess-style gown of diamond white delustered Italian satin by Allure Bridal. The top of the gown's bodice was adorned with Swarovski crystals, seed pearls and sequins. The waistline of the gown was of a contrasting café color. The back formed a soft vee affect and was adorned with covered buttons that continued down the semi-cathedral train. Her veil of tulle ended at the fingertip and fell softly over the back of the gown. The bride's bouquet was a hand-tied creation of white miniature calla lilies, white roses, white hydrangea and grape hyacinths. The bride carried an heirloom handkerchief given to her by the groom's grandmother, Marietta Prahl.
Mollie Lauren Huskey and Amy Michelle Humphries, friends of the bride and both of Columbia, were maids of honor. Bridesmaid were Jessica Marie Rose Prahl, sister of the groom, of Atlanta, Ansley Arthur Lee of Columbia, Julia Cook Shuler of Florence, Krissy Ann Smiley of Gaffney, Natalie Lynne Snyder of Greenville, Candace Lea Szkaradek of Columbia and Meredith Jolly Brooks of Lexington, friends of the bride.
The attendants were attired in duet satin soft fluted gowns with empire waists designed by Alvena Valenta. The gowns were hydrangea in color and crystal broaches accented the light gold cummerbunds that graduated into sashes at the back of the dresses. They carried hand-tied bouquets of blue and white hydrangea.
Jonathan Rahmeen Marefat of Atlanta, friend of the groom, was best man.
Groomsmen were Hogan Linwood Tyler, brother of the bride, of Elko, Jefre Eugene Potterbaum of Athens, Russell Davis Rice of Columbia, Alexander Peter Szkaradek of Columbia, Joseph Adam Bishop of Athens, Adam Lee Graham of Atlanta, Joseph Thomas Grimes of Tampa, and Bradley Kent Hurst of Atlanta, friends of the groom.
The wedding was directed by Pam Jenkins. Elaine Putnam, aunt of the bride, attended the guest register.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Linwood Tyler Jr. of Gaffney. Her grandparents are Margaret Kellahan Tyler of Kingstree, Lois McClary Hogan of Conway, the late James Linwood Tyler Sr. and the late Thomas McMaster Hogan.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Edward Prahl of Peachtree City. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lee Comstock of Gulf Breeze, Marietta Prahl of New York and the late Robert Prahl.
