Retired superintendent in construction industry

James Gilbert Reynolds, 68, of 189 Log Cabin Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 23, 2007, at his residence.

Born in Gaffney, he was the son of the late James Earl Reynolds and Irene Fitzgerald Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a retired superintendent in the construction industry and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandi Horowitz and husband, Jeff, of Spartanburg; a brother, Jack S. Reynolds of Gaffney; three sisters, Doris Hood of Mayo, Carolyn Atkins of Spartanburg and Idell Webster of Gaffney; two grandchildren, David Horowitz and Taylor Horowitz; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reynolds was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Pack and Martha Ward, and a brother, Paul Reynolds.

The family will receive friends today from 3-4 p.m. at White Plains Baptist Church. Services will be at 4 p.m., immediately following the visitation, conducted by the Revs. Benny Davis, Cindy Inman and Norman Gardner. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
