Gaffney High offensive lineman Kevin Brockman shows off the 2006 state championship ring he received at Monday's football awards banquet. Players received their rings after achieving the school's first perfect season since 1963. Offensive lineman Derrick McAbee received the academic award for highest grade point average. Wide receiver Terry Barnes received the "Spirit of the Spear" Award, given in memory of former Gaffney High center Brad Beattie.
