LYMAN - Col. Truman Eugene Cobb Sr., USAF Retired, passed away Saturday morning, April 28, 2007.

Col. Cobb was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Virginia Cobb; father and mother, Fred W. and Lizzie Cobb; and a brother, Dewey Cobb.

Surviving are his sons, Truman E. Cobb Jr. of Chicago and Robert F. Cobb and wife, Frances, of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Tye Cobb, Catheryn Cobb, Olivia Cobb and Caroline Cobb of Chicago and Joseph Cobb, Emily Cobb, Jacob Cobb and Eli Cobb of Waco, Texas; a brother, Michael Allen Cobb and wife, Barbara, of Gaffney; and a sister, Shirley C. Leonard and husband, Wirron, of Greer.

Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Everette Chapman. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park with full military rites.

Visitation will be held at Memorial United Methodist Church in Greer after the committal service.
