Rosa Lee Bridges

Rosa Lee Simmons Bridges, 97, of 503 Beech St., died

Thursday, May 3, 2007, at Brookview Health- Care Center.

A native of Gaffney, she was the widow of Edward Bridges and daughter of the late C.C. Simmons and the late Martha Jane McCraw Simmons. She was a professional seamstress and a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Rachel B. Blanton and Peggy B. Dorman and husband, Bill, of Gaffney; a daughter-in-law, Pat S. Bridges of Pine Knott, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Greg Blanton, Tony Bridges and wife, Teresa, Becky Coffee, Tommy Dorman, David Dorman, Jimmy Dorman, Billy Dorman and wife, Lorna, and Gina Poole and husband, Roger; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-greatgrandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by a son, Franklin F. Bridges, and nine brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Clyde Thomas.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Peggy Dorman, 503 S. Limestone St.
