Learn how to share oral history

CHESNEE - Dr. John R. Williams will reveal the value of collecting your oral history and the techniques used to assemble stories of your hometown to share with future generations on Saturday, May 12, at 3 p.m. at the Carolina Foothills Artisan Center. The program is free.

Participants will be asked to share personal stories about their individual hometowns.

Dr. Williams is a professor of English at Spartanburg Methodist College, where for 21 years he has taught Composition, Medieval and Renaissance Literature and English as a Second Language.

The center is located at 124 W. Cherokee St. in Chesnee.
