If you're gonna fight, lose the pot first A 40-year-old Gaffney resident was arrested after an altercation led to additional charges, according to a report at the Gaffney Police Department. Officer M. Scruggs has charged Sammuthia Michelle Davis, of 604 East O' Neal St., with criminal domestic violence and simple possession of marijuana. According to the report, police saw a number of scratches on the face of the victim, a 47-year-old black male. Scruggs said he saw small pieces of what looked to be marijuana laying on the living room table. The officer also found several roaches in an ashtray and a "blunt" in Davis' pocketbook, the report states. Ditto the main headline Two Gaffney residents were arrested after an alleged altercation at a local sports club. Officer C. Hutchins charged Nathan William Pennington, 45, of 2211 Old Georgia Hwy. and Robbie Mitchell Weaver, 39, of 112 Tammy Drive, with public drunkenness. Weaver is also charged with simple possession of marijuana. According to Hutchins, at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, he was dispatched to Benna's Sports Club on West Floyd Baker Boulevard in reference to a fight. Upon arrival, Mitchell and Pennington were being held apart to keep the situation from further escalating, with both of them being highly intoxicated, the officer said. Upon searching Weaver, the officer located a clear plastic bag containing a green leafy substance in his left sock, the report states. Woman accused of stealing money Authorities with the Gaffney Police Department are searching for a Gaffney woman accused of stealing cash from a home. Officer N.L. Walker has charged Cynthia Fox, 37, of 104 Sardis Road with burglary. Fox is accused of taking approximately $100 Sunday from a home on Cedar Street. The victim claims the money had been in her pocketbook inside the home when she found the pocketbook had been moved upon returning to the premises. |
