Donald Wayne Simmons, 66, of 1914 Victory Trail Road, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at his home.

Born in Forest City, N.C., he was the son of the late T h o m a s Booker Simmons and Ora Irene Benton Simmons. Mr. Simmons was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was formerly employed by Phoenix Finishing Company and he retired from The Timken Company. He was of the Baptist faith.

He are survived by three daughters, Buffie Hayes and husband, Doug, of Cowpens, Regina Taylor and husband, Harold, also of Cowpens, and Crystal Webber and husband, Ray, of Gaffney; three brothers, Kenneth Simmons and Danny Simmons, both of Gaffney, and Joe Simmons of Rutherfordton, N.C.; a sister, Brenda McSwain of Gaffney; and six grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Simmons and Norman Simmons.

The family will be at the home of Crystal and Ray Webber, 414 Killion Drive, Gaffney.
