Stadium bids to be opened July 26 Bids for the Gaffney High football stadium project will be opened July 26 at 3 p.m. at the Cherokee County School District office. The district will open sealed bids at that time from pre-qualified contractors to build a 8,000-aluminum seat stadium. The bids will not include the playing surface. Construction is expected to begin in August of 2007 and be finished in July of 2008. A pre-bid conference will be held July 10 at 3 p.m. in the resource room at the district office.
