Jennifer Upchurch

BLACKSBURG - Jennifer Bryant Upchurch, 37, of 1463 Blacksburg Hwy., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at her home.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the widow of Ronnie Upchurch and daughter of Joan Bryant and the late Dallas Bryant; and stepdaughter of Freida Bryant. Mrs. Upchurch was employed by Newark and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to her mother are a brother, Travis Bryant of Boiling Springs; a sister, Pam Jackson and husband Jason, of Blacksburg; a step-sister, Sharon Green of Boiling Springs; a grandmother, Genene Bozzuto of Blacksburg; eight nieces, Whitney Stewart, Lauren Stewart, Heather Green, Brittany Green, Anna Upchurch, Kourtni Traynham, Kaylee West and Bryanna Tate; three nephews, Josh Tate, Jacob Moss and Chris Green; father-in-law and step mother in-law, Ronnie (Booger) Upchurch Sr. and wife, Deidra, of Blacksburg; step father-in-law and mother-inlaw, Bobby (Red) Johnson and wife, Donna Gay, of Blacksburg; brother in-law, Clint Upchurch and wife, Allison, of Boiling Springs; special friends, Dawn Sisk of Spartanburg, Amy Jenkins of Blacksburg and Elayne Tate of Gaffney.

In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Upchurch was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Sam and Irene Bryant, and paternal grandparents, Mabel and Dorsey Bryant.

The family will receive friends today from 2-4 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Mike Proctor officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie (Booger) Upchurch Sr., Bobby (Red) Johnson, Scott Upchurch, Rick Brannon, Clint Upchurch and Michael Mayne.
