Peggy Reynolds
Retired school teacher
Peggy Jean Reynolds, 66, of 3634 Union Hwy., went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 22, 2007, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of Mary Bratton Reynolds and the late Floyd Reynolds. She was a retired school teacher having taught fourth grade for 39 years at Goucher Elementary School. She loved children and fully enjoyed her years in the classroom. She graduated from Limestone College in 1963 with a bachelor's degree in elementary educations and received her master's degree from Winthrop College in 1973. She was a member of Abingdon Creek Baptist Church. She is also survived by a cousin, Jim Lyle, who was like a son, his wife, Eve Lyle, and Hart Lyle, a miracle baby and grandson, of the home; also three cousins, who are special to her, Brent, Brock and Nicole Ledbetter of Gaffney. Services were held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. L.C. Duncan officiating The family will receive friends immediately follow the service in the chapel. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, 101 E.
