NEVER FORGOTTEN

Area residents in Chesnee honor the memories of nine North Charleston firefighters who died June 18 while fighting a furniture warehouse fire by placing their pictures on the poles of nine American flags surrounding a tree in the center of their East Court Drive community. Each Independence Day, residents line East and West Court Drive with the American flags that can be seen from Chesnee Highway.
