Frances A. Grubb

Retired owner-operator of Grubbs Meats

Frances Allison Grubb, 88, a resident of Peachtree Centre, formerly of 617 5th St., went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Jim Tom Allison and Amanda McClure Allison and widow of David B. Grubb. She was the retired owner/ operator of Grubbs Meats and was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Lemuel Grubb and wife, JoAnne, of Gaffney; three grandchildren, Lisa Grubb of Florence, Kerri Lancaster of Cowpens and David Grubb and wife, Michelle, of Greenville; and four greatgrandchildren.

Visitation was held Monday from 7-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

Graveside services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by Dr. Clyde Thomas.

Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, S.C. 29342.

The family will be at the home of Lemuel and JoAnne Grubb, 300 Lakeshore Drive, Gaffney.
