Chamber retreat is set Sept. 19-21 in Charleston

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual fall workshop retreat Sept. 19-21 at the historic Mills House in Charleston.

Registration and hospitality will be on the evening of Sept. 19. Workshops will be held on the mornings of September 20 and 21. The agenda includes updates and plans from the cities and county, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, health agencies, county legislators, Duke Energy, and other corporations. Meeting will conclude at noon Sept. 21.

A golf tournament is scheduled for the afternoon of Sept. 20 at Patriots Point Golf Links on Charleston Harbor.

Highlights of the workshop will be a keynote speech by a well known South Carolina official and City of Gaffney presentation on the five- to seven- year plan for parks, recreation and entrance beautification.

Early registration fees for the workshop retreat by Sept. 7 are $100 for members, $125 for non-members and $50 for spouses. After Sept. 7, registration fees are $125 for members, $150 for non-members and $70 for spouses.
