Seamstress
MAYO - Doris Reynolds Hood, 82, of 1740 Double Branch Road, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at her home.
Born July 18, 1925, in Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late James Earl and Irene Madge Fitzgerald
Reynolds. She was a seamstress and a member of Pacolet
First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dufay Philmore Hood; a daughter, Myra Gibson of Spartanburg; two sisters, Carolyn Atkins of Spartanburg and Idell Webster of Gaffney; a brother, Jack Steven Reynolds of Gaffney; two stepsons, Danny Hood and Steven Lee Hood, and a stepdaughter, Barbara Ann Hood, all of Spartanburg; two granddaughters, Mandy Gibson of Greenville and Ashley Daniel of Spartanburg; two great-grandchildren, William and Emily Daniel; and several special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hood was predeceased by a son, William Eric Padgett; a stepdaughter, Tracy Ballard; two sisters, Martha Ward and Helen Pack; and two brothers, Gilbert Reynolds and Paul Reynolds.
Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Revs. Tony L. Cribb and Michael Bradley. Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was held Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
