Doris Littlejohn Brown, 71, of 218 Sierra St., widow of Solomon Brown Sr., passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007, at her residence.
Daughter of the late Rev. T. R. Littlejohn and the late Lillian Wilburn Littlejohn, she was a native of Gaffney and a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Mass Choir. She was a 1954 graduate of Granard High School and was a good basketball player. She retired as a Bronx, N.Y., detective. While living in the Bronx, she attended Green Pastures Baptist Church, where she was president of the Sanctuary Choir and an Usher.
She is survived by three sons, Anthony Brown Sr., Solomon Brown Jr. and Kevin Brown, and a daughter, Tuvana Brown, all of Bronx, N.Y.; two sisters, Augustine Littlejohn and Sandra Hall of Gaffney; three brothers, Marvin Littlejohn Sr. of Charlotte, William Frank "Nank" Littlejohn Sr. and Joe Louis Littlejohn Sr. of Gaffney; and four grandchildren.
Presently, the family is at the home of her sister, Augustine Littlejohn, 317 Chesnee Highway, Gaffney.
