James Willard Redmon, 65, of 318 Ross Hill Road, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 27, 2007, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Marion, N.C., he was

the husband of

Isabell Martin Redmon and the son of the late Gordon Redmon and Irene King Redmon. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed by Nestlé. Mr. Redmon was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife, also surviving are a son, Kyle Redmon of the home; four sisters, Lou Elliott of Asheville and Marian Sites and husband, Bob, of Shelby; Dorothy Austin of Kentucky and Carolyn Bridges and husband, Jim, of Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held today at 4 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

Visitation was held Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

The family will be at the residence, 318 Ross Hill Road.
