John A. Randall Jr. of Randall's Radio and TV BLACKSBURG - John A. Randall Jr., 87, of 1025 W. Pine St., died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Regional Hospice Home. Born in Gaffney, he was the widower of Betty Ruth Nance Randall and son of the late John Alexander Randall Sr. and the late Delia Gertude Webber Randall. He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church and was owner and operator of Randall's Radio and TV. Mr. Randall was a Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre. He was presented two Bronze Stars, a Silver Star, a Service Stripe, five Overseas Service Bars and a Philippine Liberation Good Conduct Medal with Co. 7 Headquarters 90th Bomb Group. Surviving are a son, John (Johnny) A. Randall III and wife, Pat, of the home; grandchildren, John A. Randall IV of the home, Lisa Ellis and husband, David, of Gaffney and Dana Davis and husband, Chris, of Blacksburg; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Randall was preceded in death by a sister, Stella Randall. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. A.G. Parrott. The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Gordon Mortuary and at other times they will be at the residence.
