Society holds fundraiser

On Friday, July 27, the 1898 Society held a hot dog sale and raffle fundraiser. The fundraiser was held at the Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department station.

The mission of The 1898 Society is to improve public safety in Blacksburg by providing resources and support to the Blacksburg Police Department and the Blacksburg Volunteer Fire Department that are not readily available through other means. The 1898 Society is a publicly-supported, tax-exempt charitable foundation.

The 1898 Society raffled off a Char-Broil gas barbecue grill. The winner of the raffle was Wendy Stowe of Blacksburg.
