Redskins'McIntosh shows will to succeed
      Rocky McIntosh is known as a hard-working player. The former Gaffney High and University of Miami star would also like to be known as the starting outside linebacker for the Washington Redskins. McIntosh, the Redskins' second-round draft pick in 2006, saw limited playing time last season as he grasped defensive coordinator Greg Williams' system.

Blacksburg blanks Landrum in Woodruff jamboree
      Blacksburg quarterbacks Joseph Upchurch and Dustin Byars didn't make a coaching decision on a starting quarterback any easier Friday in a 13-0 jamboree win over Landrum. Upchurch threw a 16-yard touchdown pass and Byars scored on an 8-yard run in the Wildcats' first preseason game action. The quarterbacks completed 60 percent of their passes for 95 yards.

      Korn has 3 TD passes Freshman Willy Korn threw three touchdown passes in Clemson's scrimmage on Saturday while starter Cullen Harper had two. Korn opened with an interception on his first throw. But later found walk-on Terrance Ashe with a 37- yard score, fellow freshman Brian Linthicum for a 15-yard TD and fullback Alex Pearson for a 3-yard touchdown pass.
