Alex Richardson Limestone College English Professor Dr. Alex Richardson's first book of poetry, Porch Night on Walnut Street, has just been released by Plainview Press of Austin, Texas.

The collection contains poems that deal with the home and family. According to Richardson, the poems attempt to locate meaning and wonder in life's simple and mundane events.

The first scheduled reading on his book tour will be Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Hub-Bub Showroom, 149 S. Daniel Morgan Ave., Spartanburg.

Richardson has published approximately 50 poems individually. His works are currently featured in Red Hawk Review, Birmingham Poetry Review and Broken Bridge Review.
