CLUB HELPS LOCAL CHARITIES - The L'Etoile Club, a group of young women whose mission is to serve Cherokee County, selects a community service project each month and holds several fundraising events during the year. The funds raised are donated to outreach ministries in the county. This year the group donated over $1,500, including $300 each to Cherokee County Meals on Wheels, Cherokee County Children's Home, the American Red Cross, PeachCenter Ministries and Miracle Hill Ministries. They also raised money for the annual Alzheimer's Memory Walk, which will be held this year on Oct. 27.
