      Dear Annie: My 88-year-old mother is living with my son and his wife. Mom's mind is good and she is very healthy, although she has used a walker since her partial hip replacement last year. The problem is, Mom has to have everyone's attention on her all the time. She thinks she is the most important person in the family and we have to accommodate her.

      Jackson Lee Queen Joshua and Neeley Queen of Gaffney announce the birth of their son, Jackson Lee, on Aug. 21, 2007, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center weighing 7 lbs. 3 ozs. Maternal grandparents are Jimmy and Judith Owens of Gaffney and Charlie and Allison Parris of Mayo. Paternal grandparents are Jackie and Jane Queen of Gaffney.

      Education The Cherokee County Adult/Community Eduction Program will offer a keyboarding class beginning Tuesday, Sept. 18. Participants will learn the entire computer keyboard, number pad and basic formatting formulas for documents such as letters, memos, resumes and charts.
