Bertha M. Dover

with Smith Janitorial
BLACKSBURG - Bertha Marie Dover, 73, of 184 Becky's Blvd., died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
A native of Tennessee, she was the wife of Donnie Gene Dover and daughter of the late Chester and Bessie Brock Gentry. She was formerly associated with Smith Janitorial.
Surviving are three sons, Johnny Melton and wife, Connie, of Gaffney, Ruben Melton and wife, Tammy, of Gaffney and Frankie Melton and wife, Christine, of Blacksburg; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Johnson of Blacksburg.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by a brother, Ruben Gentry.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Sunday, Sept. 9, at 2 p.m. graveside at Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. Barry Philbeck.
Pallbearers were James Melton, Donald Melon, Boe Foster and Terry Mullinax.
Visitation was held Saturday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at White Columns Funeral Service.
The family is at the home of Frankie and Christine Melton, 302 Sunset Drive, Blacksburg.
