Fire department receives grant

The Gaffney Fire Department has received $54,431 grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Chief Nathan Ellis said almost $25,000 will be used to buy technical rescue equipment, and the rest will fund eight mobile radios and a thermal imager.
