County employees to brush up on customer service
County officials want to make sure their employees are on the same page when it comes to dealing with county residents.
Cherokee County Councilman and Chairman of the county's Public Works Committee Bailey Humphries has announced that Public Works employees will be attending a customer service workshop this month. The workshop is conducted by the Appalachian Council of Governments at no cost to attendees.
"This type of thing is necessary so we can better serve the people," Humphries said. "Only the Public Works employees who deal face-to-face with county residents will be attending the workshop."
Two groups of Public Works employees will be attending the 3-hour sessions on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Humphries said another 3- hour workshop will be held at a later date.
Humphries said he hopes other county departments will also schedule the customer relations workshop.
"We want to set the standard for better serving county residents," he said.
