Leroy Hastin Davis, 61, of 112 N. Watterson St., Kings Mountain, N.C., passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at 8:31 a.m. at his residence.

Son of Mable Jackson Davis of the home and the late Arthur Davis, he was a native of Cleveland County, N.C. He was preceded in death by his son, Fredreck Smith and two brothers, Hillard Davis and Leonard Davis.

He was a member of St. Paul Fire Baptize Holiness Church of God of Lawndale, N.C., where he was an associate minister, a former deacon and a Sunday School superintendent. He was a graduate of Compact High School, Kings Mountain, Class of 1965. He was last employed by Century Contractors Industries in Shelby.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Karen Smith of Gastonia; his brother, Harlee Davis (Alma) of Charlotte; three sisters, Inez Davis and Louise Davis, both of Charlotte, and Euzellia Davis of the home; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his uncle, Rev. Hoover Jackson.

Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul FBH Church, 129 Gold St., Lawndale, N.C. with the Revs. James Wiley, L.C. Wright Jr., Lester Jackson, Jacqueline B. Elliott, Bishop Eddie Lockhart Elder L.B. Williamson officiating. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in church cemetery.

The family is at the home, 112 N. Watterson Street in Kings Mountain.
