      Dear Annie: I am 62 years old and have been dating a 53-year-old woman for a couple of years. We have had disagreements, and from my point of view, they will keep me from ever marrying her. Every one of "Diane's" friends makes alcohol the center of their activities. They can become pretty crude with the language and topics. Alcohol is awfully important to Diane as well.

GLT cancels 'Frankenstein'
      The Gaffney Little Theatre has cancelled its production of Frankenstein that was scheduled for production Oct. 26-30 due to scheduling and casting problems. The show will be replaced by The Glass Menagerie in mid-January, directed by Dr. Tim Baxter-Ferguson.

Sorority meets Oct. 1; plans service projects
      Xi Alpha Delta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met Monday, Oct. 1, at the home of Shirley Turner. Pam Watson presented a program on friendship and family. Watson informed members that there is a National Friendship Day each year on the first Sunday of August. This year it was on Aug. 5.
