Swings coming

There soon will be a flurry of activity at McCluney Park.

Cherokee County Recreation District Director Lowry Love said the new playground equipment for the park is slated to arrive today and workers will begin installing the equipment, which will be similar to the kind at Thomson Park, in about two weeks.

If swings and sliding boards aren't your thing, Love said there are also plans for practice soccer and football fields at the park.

McCluney Park is located on Hetty Hill Street.
