The Limestone volleyball team improved to 10-3 with a 3-0 win over rival Pfeiffer on Saturday.

Melissa Thomas had 14 kills and 13 digs to lead the Lady Saints, who downed Pfeiffer, 30-19, 30-19, 30-27.

Lynn Milam also had a big match with nine kills, six assists, four service aces, five digs and five blocks.

Laura Kerrison had 33 assists and 11 digs, while Sam Flannery and Ashley Hubbard combined for 11 blocks for the Lady Saints.

"I was really proud of the girls today," Limestone coach Tim Loesch said. "They played hard and were determined to win, even after falling behind in game three.

"At the beginning of the season we would have gotten our heads down, but today they continued to believe in themselves and their teammates and pushed through for the big victory."

The Lady Saints will travel to UNC-Pembroke on Wednesday.
