Ghost Walk set for Oct. 26-27
Costumed re-enactors bring history to life
      Local residents will be able to discover some "Keys to the Past" when the Cherokee Historical and Preservation Society sponsors its fifth annual Historic Hayride and Ghost Walk on Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27.

      Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church will have revival services Nov. 4-7 with Dr. Wayne Brown, pastor of First Baptist Church, Boone, N.C., as guest evangelist. Services Sunday will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

      Fall festivals Macedonia Baptist Church will have a fall festival Saturday, Oct. 27, from 4- 7 p.m. All proceeds will go to help families at Christmas. There will be a hot dog supper, bake sale, silent cake auction, country store, inflatables, games, a maze, hayrides, entertainment and more.
