Broad River Baptist Assn. holds 207th fall session

James Austin James Austin Broad River Baptist Association will have its 207th Fall Session Monday, Oct. 29, and Tuesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Blacksburg.

Dr. James Austin, executive director treasurer of the South Carolina Baptist Convention, will be the guest speaker Monday evening. He joined the S.C. Baptist Convention in May and came to South Carolina from Missouri, where he served as associate director for the Missouri Baptist Convention.

Joyful Sound will present a presession program at 6:45 p.m. The Christian ensemble from North Greenville University ministers in churches across the state each Sunday.

At Tuesday's session, the proposed budget and Committee on Committees report will be adopted. Ministry reports will be given and the Rev. Weldon Fallaw of the South Carolina Baptist Foundation will tell of its work. Higher Praise will provide special music and the Rev. Brian Harris, pastor of Rock Springs Baptist Church, will give the annual sermon.
