Limestone cheerleaders will be cheering for a cause
Limestone College cheerleaders will be cheering this weekend to raise funds to help find a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
They will be at the Gaffney City Fire Department Saturday preparing for the Alzheimer's Association signature event - the Memory Walk. Registration starts at 10 a.m. with the walk beginning at 11. The cheerleaders will warm up the walkers with a few exercises and get them pumped up with some cheers.
Along with cheering for the basketball team, the Limestone College cheerleading squad loves to get involved in the community. "We are really excited about helping out the Alzheimer's Association and are honored to participate," said Coach Deanna Borders.
The year's honorary chairman, Tom Crabtree, will be leading the walk with help from the cheerleaders, starting at the Gaffney City Fire Department, going to the Elk's Lodge and back to the fire department.
