City of Gaffney pleased with response to Caribbean Cowboys Concert
Thanks to continued support from Gaffney City Council and City of Gaffney employees, attendance by members of the community and visitors from Spartanburg, Rock Hill and Charlotte, the Caribbean Cowboys concert drew an even larger crowd than at the first Shindig at the Gaffney Cabin that featured Shaggie Maggie, one of the best Beach, Boogie, Rhythm and Blues Bands in the Southeast.
Support from our local media, including the Blacksburg Times, Cherokee Chronicle, Gaffney Ledger, the Spartanburg Herald- Journal, WEAC and WFGN, and Brannon's Seafood Restaurant that provided dinner for band members, helped make this another good event for downtown Gaffney and the community. We appreciate all you do.
Hames Music, a sponsor of Shindig at the Gaffney Cabin concerts, and their Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Mark Bunch, help make it possible to hold these concerts by providing not only the stage, but also their time and energy in bringing the stage downtown, setting it up for us and taking it down following each concert. Thank you for supporting your community and these concerts!
Jim Cudd, CPA, who chooses the entertainment and negotiates with the bands and musicians, once again brought a great band and quality music to downtown Gaffney. Jim's expertise and years of experience in working with members of the music industry is invaluable in helping to make Shindig at the Gaffney Cabin a success.
A special "Thank You" goes to Clyde and Beau Hudson of the Capri Theater, Rodger Painter, Cherokee County resident and professional photographer, and to Terry Bishop of Marshville, North Carolina, for their advice and assistance in arranging lighting for the concert.
