'Neighbor Helping Neighbor' auction Nov. 10

Iron City Ministries will sponsor its fifth annual auction, "Neighbor Helping Neighbor," on Saturday, Nov. 10, at Blacksburg Middle School. Events begin at noon with a hot dog sale, silent auction, bake sale and yard sale. A live auction starts at 6 p.m. and door prizes will be awarded throughout the evening.

Sponsorship levels are available for businesses, churches and individuals. Platinum sponsors are $1,500, gold sponsors are $1,000, silver sponsors are $500 and bronze sponsors are $250. All money raised through sponsorships and the sale of auction items will be used for medicine and food for ICM's clients.

Present sponsors are Piedmont Animal Hospital, Vic Byars, Tahoe and Wire Rite, Garden Temple Assembly of God, Penny Earls, Mr. and Mrs. M.D. Floyd and Dr. Maureen Burdett. Donors include Blue Lagoon, Plygem, Brian's Jewelers, Gaffney Fitness, Flat Rock Playhouse, Charlotte Knights baseball, Grandfather Mountain, Myrtle Beach National Co., Cherokee Outfitters, Custom Embroidery, Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer, The Tanning Center, Dr. Bobby Moss and CHAPS,

Iron City Ministries is a nonprofit faith-based ministry located in Blacksburg and serves all of Cherokee County. The organization assists people with food, shelter, energy, medicine and spiritual guidance. It is supported by area churches of all denominations, grants, corporate and individual donations and fundraising events.
