Patsy Carpenter

Patsy Jannette Carpenter, 55, of Lincolnton, N.C., formerly of Fred Beard Road, Maiden, N.C., passed away Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at CMC-Lincoln.

Born Dec. 5, 1951, in Davidson County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Grady Henry Carpenter and the late Dorothy Lorene Nalley Carpenter. She was a member of Mays Chapel United Methodist Church in Maiden.

In addition to her parents, a brother, Bobby Carpenter, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Tracey J. Milburn of Lincolnton and April Rickman of Blacksburg; five grandchildren; two brothers,

Ricky Carpenter of Lincolnton and Donnie Carpenter of Hickory, N.C.; a sister, Peggy Grant of Maiden; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mays Chapel United Methodist Church in Maiden with the Rev. Ralph Lepley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6-7:30 at Burke Mortuary in Maiden.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mays Chapel United Methodist Church, Patsy Carpenter Fund, 1707 Mays Chapel Church Road, Maiden, N.C. 28650.
