Craig leads Gaffney jayvees to OT victory

Joe Craig was too much for the Dorman Cavaliers on Thursday.

Craig rushed for two touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime, and threw for another to lift the Gaffney junior varsity to a 20-14 overtime win over the visiting Cavaliers.

Gaffney improves to 7-1. Craig also added the 2- point conversion.

Craig scored on the opening possession of overtime. The Gaffney defense then held the Cavaliers on down to secure the win.

Tim Dawkins was on the receiving end of Craig's touchdown throw.

"It was an exciting game," Gaffney assistant coach Jeff Osment said. "The defense really played well."

In ninth-grade action, Dorman edged the Indians, 35-34, in overtime.
