Final 'Shindig' Friday, November 2

The Malpass Brothers The Malpass Brothers The fourth and final Shindig at the Gaffney Cabin takes place at 6:30 pm on Friday, November 2, and features the Malpass Brothers bringing you the classic country music everyone knows and loves. The Malpass Brothers, Christopher and Taylor, blend their own brand of America's favorite music and comedic banter all across the country.

Christopher Malpass was simply born in the wrong era. Only in his early 20's, Christopher croons the classic country tunes in the tradition of Hank Williams, Sr., Ernest Tubb, Lefty Frizzell and others.

Taylor Malpass, just a young teenager, provides novel musicianship for the group. He sports a Gibson mandolin on most of the group songs, but also thrills the audience with electric guitar licks in the styles similar to his heroes Billy Byrd (guitarist for Ernest Tubb) and Paul Yandell (guitarist for the Lovin Brothers).

The brother duet will be joined by their father, Chris Malpass. He provides support on the upright bass.

This terrific young classic country group has shared the mic with some of the bestknown country singers around including Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Doc Watson, Mary Stuart, Hal Ketchum, Don Helms, Jack Greene, Lost and Found, the Lewis Family, The Issacs and many others.

These young men put on a great show, so make your plans now to attend. Food and beverages will be available for purchase by Sticks of Gaffney and by the Capri Theater.

In case of rain, the concert will take place in the Capri Theater on a first come, first serve basis.

The Malpass Brothers concert is the last Shindig at the Gaffney Cabin concert for the season. The concerts will pick back up in mid-March 2008, weather permitting, and will run through June before taking time off for the South Carolina Peach Festival in July.
