ICM receives $2,500 from Food Lion BLACKSBURG - Iron City Ministries has received $2,500 from the Food Lion Charitable Foundation that ICM will use to purchase a larger variety of food items that are not typically donated. "If I search the entire dictionary for words to express how much ICM and I appreciate what Food Lion has done for our organization over the past few years, I would not find one word appropriate enough to express our thankfulness. With this grant, Food Lion has shown once again how much their organization does for communities like ours and for the people we and others try to help," said Elaine Fulton, ICM's executive director. The Food Lion Charitable Foundation provides financial support for programs and organizations dedicated to improving the communities in which Food Lion operates. The foundation places an emphasis on the support of primary and secondary education, feeding the hungry, and organizations that enhance the quality of life in Food Lion's local communities. |
