      BLACKSBURG - Louise White Cobb Farris, 89, of 164 McKee Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born in Cherokee County, she was the wife of Marvin Farris and was first married to the late Rev. Coy T. Cobb. She was a daughter of the late Wade White and Sally Belle Bolin White.

      BLACKSBURG - Virginia Irene Burke Morgan, 80, of 387 Dye Road, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center in Gaffney. A native of Chesnee, she was the widow of Herbert Morgan and daughter of the late Craton and Buna Lovelace Burke. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was retired from Hamrick's.
