ATLANTA, Ga. - Bishop W. E. Fuller Jr., 86, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, in Atlanta.

A native of Atlanta, he was the husband of Christine Williams Fuller and son of the late Bishop William Edward Fuller Sr. and the late Emma Wright Fuller. He received his education in the Atlanta school systems and received a B.A. degree from Lincoln (Pa.) University, M.A. from the the University of Pennsylvania, S.T.B. and Master of Divinity degrees in seminary from Lincoln University School of Theology. He received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from West Point, Miss.

At the time of his death, he was serving as senior bishop of Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas and was presiding bishop of New England, New York, New Jersey, Long Island/Southern Canadian, Northern Canadian, Columbia, Charleston, South Carolina No. 1 and No. 2, Florida Districts and Jamaica, West Indies; and as president of the Fuller Normal and Industrial Institute.

His community and professional relationship included being a member of the Board of Directors of Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas and of the Board of Directors of Citizens Trust Bank Holding Company of Atlanta.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, William Fuller III, Ronald Fuller and Derek Fuller of Atlanta; a daughter, Edith Gayla Fuller; a sister, Betty Fuller; and two grandchildren.

A remembrance service will be held today at 6 p.m. at Fuller Memorial Tabernacle in Atlanta. Body will lie in state at 3 p.m. Viewing will be at the church Tuesday from noon until 8 p.m.

A home going celebration will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Woodrow Brown officiating. Entombment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
