SPARTANBURG - Gladys Woodruff Payne, 74, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Roger Payne; her four children, Allen Southern of Spartanburg, Larry (Robin) Southern of Cocoa, Fla., Janet (Ken) Burnham of Asheboro, N.C., and Cindy Southern of Winston Salem, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jacob Clay Southern, Victor Ross Turner, Jessi Michele and Rylee Theresa Southern.

A graveside service was conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Crestview Memorial Park, with the Rev. Robert Blackmon officiating.
