BLACKSBURG - Louise White Cobb Farris, 89, of 164 McKee Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, at Mary Black Memorial Hospital. Born in Cherokee County, she was the wife of Marvin Farris and was first married to the late Rev. Coy T. Cobb. She was a daughter of the late Wade White and Sally Belle Bolin White. She was retired from Belk and was active in the Senior Centers of Blacksburg. Mrs. Farris was a member of First Baptist Church of Blacksburg, where she was a member of the WMU. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Jerry Cobb and wife, Ellen, of Greenville and Wayne Cobb and wife, Barbara, of Blacksburg; a daughter, LaRue Douglas and husband, Robert, of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Kirk Douglas, Kecia Spencer, DeDe Batchler, Danica Goodwin, Rene' Sawyer and Chris Cobb; and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Farris was preceded in death by three sisters, Voltie Hardin, Colleen Wallace and Evalee Clary; and an infant brother, Bryant White. The family will receive friends today from 3-4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Blacksburg. Services will immediately follow at 4 p.m. at the church, conducted by Dr. M.B. Morrow Jr. and the Rev. Vernon Craig. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Senior Centers of Blacksburg, 499 W, Rutledge Ave., Gaffney, S.C. 29340; or to First Baptist Church of Blacksburg Children's Ministry, P.O.
