Limestone grad to share his travels to Greece, Turkey
NATHAN BRINES AND CHELSIE WEIDELE The Limestone College Art Department will present "The Art and Archaeology of Ancient Greece and Istanbul" by Nathan Brines '06 and Chelsie Weidele on Tuesday, November 6 in Stephenson Dining Hall at 6:30 p.m.
The program will explore their travels to Greece and Turkey this past summer, from Greek antiquity to dodging bullets in restaurants. This presentation, which includes slides, will be full of personal exploration within an academic climate.
Brines was a Limestone honor student and captain of the soccer team before graduating last spring with a degree in graphic arts. While at college, he became interested in photography and travel and spent the summer of 2006 in Paris, France.
Weidele graduated from Myers Park High School in Charlotte, NC and is presently working as an intern at the new Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg. She is majoring in history with a minor in Art History at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and plans to graduate in December.
This program is free to the public.
