Charles Sellars Charles Lee Sellars, 64, of 202 Springwood Road, passed away Oct. 31 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, he was the husband of the late Elsie Faye Hughey Sellars and the son of the late Robert and Leila Sellars. He was a member of Silica Springs Baptist Church. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired in 1984 from what was then Hoeschst Fibers where he was a textile supervisor. He is survived by two brothers, Ray Sellars and Henry Sellars, both of Gaffney; two sisters Jean Sellars and Cleo Walker, both of Gaffney; two granddaughters, Elyssa Brianna Cody of Spartanburg and Jennifer Lianne Tate of the home; as well as two great granddaughters. Sellars was preceded in death by his wife and parents as well as a daughter, Pamela Tate Porter; a brother, Shelton Sellars; and two sisters, Flowree Mullinax and Norma Fay Sellars. Funeral services will be held at Shuford Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens today at 4 p.m. The Revs. Lynn Ford and Richard Sellars will officiate the service.The family is taking visitors from 3 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mark Scruggs, Mark Hood, Larry Mullinax, Norman Mode, Andrew Mode and Johnny Horne. The family is at the home. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements. |
