Chasity Martin
Chasity Michelle Martin, 31, of 2455 Union Hwy., went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.
A native of Gaffney, she was the wife of Charles L. Martin Jr., and daughter of Tony Edwards and wife, Brenda, of Monks Corner, S.C., and Della Deaton Rector and husband, Eddie, of Gaffney. She was a homemaker and student of Duke Energy Radiation Protection Program at Spartanburg Technical College. She was a member of Silica Springs Baptist Church.
Also surviving in addition to her husband and parents are a sister, Amanda Gamble of Ellenboro, N.C.; a stepson, Jeffrey Lee Martin of York; a half-sister, Brandy Wiggins of Monks Corner; two nephews, Ethan Gamble of Gaffney and Dylan Pipkin of Monks Corner; a niece, Sydney Jackson of Monks Corner; and paternal grandmother, Lucille Edwards of Cowpens.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ethel Deaton and James Albert Deaton.
Services will be held Saturday, November 3, at 2 p.m. at Silica Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn Ford and the Rev. Will Vergara officiating. Burial will be in Blue Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Blakely Funeral Home.
The family is at the home of Della and Eddie Rector, 182 Goforth Dr., Gaffney.
